

The Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships Program (the Program) provides up to $40,000 to new undergraduate and up to $20,000 to new postgraduate teacher education students.
With a record number of scholarship recipients announced recently, more than 1,000 aspiring early childhood educators in NSW are on their way to a rewarding career supporting the state’s littlest learners. Over the next four years, more than 18,000 early childhood educators and teachers will receive support thanks to the NSW Government's unprecedented investment in the ECEC workforce.
The NSW Department of Education is committed to increasing the number of early childhood teachers qualified in providing inclusive education for children with disability and additional needs in NSW community preschools, mobile preschools and long daycare services. To support this commitment, scholarships worth up to $20,000 for eligible individuals.
The scholarships provide financial assistance to scholars who intend to be or who are employed in NSW early childhood education services. Scholarships of up to $20,000 each will be offered to those commencing or completing a bachelor-level early childhood teaching degree. This degree can be studied at universities or other vocational education and training providers (e.g. TAFE).
