The Family Poppy Wreath is a free template to give to families. It is for families to decorate a poppy that can be used to create a Family Poppy Wreath that will be displayed in the service. As families bring their poppies back, Educators are to cut them out and create a wreath with them, hang them on the ceiling or place them on the wall to display.
To commemorate Remembrance Day on 11th November, we will be creating a Family Poppy Wreath, to show our gratitude and appreciation to all those men and women who served our country in the First World War. Remembrance Day gives us all a chance to remember those who fought and lost their lives during the war and honour their memory.
Poppies have become an important symbol for the war because the flower grew in Flanders, Belgium where important battles were fought. Poppies are also used to honour of the soldiers who fought on the battlefield.
