

Big changes are on the horizon for ECEC services under the NQF, with new child safety reforms rolling out in two phases from 01 September 2025 and 01 January 2026.
ACECQA has developed National Quality Framework (NQF) professional development eLearning modules. The program consists of a series of four elearning modules, each of which cover a different aspect of the NQF which include: Introduction to the children's education and care sector, Overview of the NQF, Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards, Approved learning frameworks V2.0.
A third round of regulatory changes will come into effect for the majority of jurisdictions from 1 October 2023. The 1 October 2023 changes will Improve the safety and well-being of children, Amend requirements for the FDC sector to strengthen regulatory oversight and safety and Improve the provision of NQF information to families.
From 01 Feb 2018, a revised NQS will be introduced to help clarify how quality is rated in education and care services.
The educational Ministers throughout Australian states and territories have agreed to changes to the National Quality Framework.
