Animal rescuers are asking for donations of expired medical supplies in order to assist animals hurt from the bushfires throughout Australia.
Rescuers are currently needing:
- Flamazine burn cream
- Solosite gel
- Algasite
- Jelonet
- Burns dressings
- IV fluids including Haartmans, Saline and Glucose
- IV giving sets
- Bandages - crepe, gauze etc
- Non adhesive dressings
- Adhesive dressings
- Meloxicam or pain stop (animal-friendly pain relief)
- Plaster of Paris
- Antiseptic, betadine, chlorhex etc
- Gloves
- Syringes of all sizes
- Hydrolyte / glucolyte
- Forceps and other implements
- Anything else that you think would be useful including pillowcases, blankets, pouches etc
Please go through each first aid kits within your service to see if any medical supplies have expired and if so, please donate them.
