The NSW Office Of the Children's Guardian, is offering a free webinar for early childhood educators on how to teach young children about personal safety for children from 2 years to 6 years old.
The SAFE Series Protective-behaviours Program is indeed a valuable resource for early childhood educators. It provides practical hints, tips, and tools to help educators effectively share personal safety messages with children aged 2 to 6 years old.
The webinar will cover:
- learning objective which link to the child safe personal safety messages
- practical hints, tips and tools to make the personal safety messages resonate with children
- points of discussion for engaging children.
- ready-made activities for children to complete and better understand how the content of the books relates to them
Following the workshop, two sets of SAFE Series books featuring SAFE Series characters, Sam, Andy, Fiona, and Eve, will be given to your service to assist Educators in initiating personal safety talks with young children.
Note: The SAFE Series Protective-behaviours Program is not NESA accredited and certificates are not issued. An email confirming attendance will be sent out the day following your session. There is a limit of 2 sets of books per service.
