The NSW Government is rolling out free health checks for 4-year-old children at their preschool or long day care service to make it easier for families to get health and development checks for their children.

NSW Health is seeing several indicators that a new COVID-19 wave has begun. Cases are expected to increase over the coming weeks. 

As part of Brighter Beginnings, the Health and Development Checks for children in early childhood education and care (ECEC) program is a partnership between the Department of Education and NSW Health to provide free development checks to children in the preschool environment.
