CHCIC510A - Implementing A Behavior Management Plan

Post by yuenching » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:37 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCIC510A
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Hi everyone,

I need some help to do my assignment. I don't really know how to implement a behaviour management plan.

Here is my assignment

"Marta, a three year old, has been attending Family Day Care for the last 12 months. She has a one year old brother, Pavel, who has just recently strated attending Family Day Care with her. Martha has begun wetting her pants throughout the day and will not comply with requests from her carer to pack away toys and wash her hands before meal times. Marta has always enjoyed a story at group time but now is easily distracted, grabs comfort toys from the younger children and often pinches and hits children sitting next to her during group time."

1. Identify the factors that may be causing the behaviour

I thought of the fact that her brother just starting at the Family day care and that because it is a FDC there is no separation between age group.

2. How would you gather the additional and appropriate information to aid in the development of the behaviour management plan for Marta?

3. What would be the short term and long term goals of the plan?

4. List the startegies you would use.

5. How would you implement the plan?and who would be involved?

6. Which professionals and/or organistions would you seek advice from?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Thank you very much for your help. It's much appreciated!!=)

I think the information you provided in your response is detailed and well though out. I don't think anything else needs to be added from what I can think of... You can check out the following topic which has a behaviour guidance plan for more ideas:

Hope this helps,
