CHCCN520 - Empowering & Offering Support To Child Being Bullied

Post by kirstiejm » Fri Oct 31, 2014 12:23 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCCN520 – Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Tom is 10 years old and is often bullied by the other children in the service. It would be beneficial for Tom to be empowered and provided with some strategies to support himself.
a) What empowerment principles and strategies could you teach Tom?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I haven't worked with children over the age of 4 yet (I'm usually with the babies or toddlers) so I'm not too sure on how to answer this question that would suit a 10 year old in a service type environment. Any ideas that would help me answer this?
