Providing Information To Familes About Sun Protection

Post by KALYANI VALLURIALLI » Mon Jan 26, 2015 2:09 pm

Hi,

this is kalyani,

In my assessment I have to create an information leaflet for families about sun protection and children

in that leaflet should have statistical information warning families of the dangers and risks of sun exposure.

could you please refer any websites or provide any information regarding sun protection and can you give me any sample pictures

thanks,
kalyani

Hi!

You'll find Cancer Council Australia's website will probably be quite helpful. - http://www.cancer.org.au

SunSmart Australia's website- http://www.sunsmart.com.au

Have a look into their slip, slop, slap campaign.

Any government website will be trustworthy, but mace sure its Australian. Never reference Wikipedia. It's a great site to gain basic knowledge on a topic, but it's not 100% correct. If you do use Wikipedia, have a look and see what websites they site and hop onto them.

And remember always check facts against multiple websites to make sure they are correct. Try using books as well.

Try googling the keywords. And always make sure to reference where you got the facts from. I've linked a guide for APA referencing incase you're not sure how to reference.

Where are you studying?

HI Kalyani
There is also a great app you can get for your phone and a great resource for families as part of your information leaflet as well as for educators when determining outdoor play times. i use mine all the time... http://www.cancer.org.au/preventing-can ... t-app.html and find it very accurate.

regards
Kirsty
