The adrenaline auto injectors should be taken on all excursions and a staff member trained to use them must always be present. The adrenaline auto injectors must always be readily accessible. In here the educators should carry Claire’s epipen during the excursion time.
Care of the adrenaline autoinjectors:
The epipen should be store in a clearly labelled insulated container with the child's name.
Before taking the epien from claire’s mother the staff should check expiry date of epipen and ensure window is clear on the EpiPen/EpiPen Jr .It should be store at room temperature during the excursion time.
Store in a safe, easily accessible location.
A copy of the Anaphylaxis Action Plan should be stored with the adrenaline autoinjector. This has contact details for parents/guardians and medical services.
After giving epipen call ambulance.

Maybe mention that you're taking the information (for the need of an epipen) from the child's health record? Also not sure if it's important or not, but action plan must be signed by a doc and up-to-date.

I looked at these sites that are mentioned in your assignment book for steps in administering the epipen/ handling an anaphylactic shock. Not sure if it's enough to just wait for an ambulance after giving the epipen...
