3-what types of resources and materials are required for different kinds of play
the toys, equipments, materials and resources you provide in the play space for children are an important feature of the play and leisure environment.many safe and stimulating toys and equipments may be purchased from commercial sources for example, educational supplies, catalogue and shops. However you can expand on these provisions by offering children access to a wide range of natural materials and junk or recycled resources.

4-how can we set up an environment that is safe- non threatening challenging stimulating?
when children feel safe secure and supported they grow in confidence to explore and learn.
safety
safety is an educator's primery consideration.educators need to check the environment daily to avoid materials and hazards that may pose a risk to children.
non threatening
the play environment needs to be well-ventilated,mentained at an appropriate temperature have good lighting and be relatively quiet.overwhelming and intrusive sound should be avoided.the visual appeal or the astheticsof the environment should also be considered.
challenging
educators can set appropriate challenges for the children in their care to teach them how to challenge themselveshave a selection of toys of different colours, texturesand sizes and introduce different types of plays with them.encourage development of fine motor skills and also gross motor skills with activities.
stimulating
you need to encourage some amount of change so children do not become bored ordisinterested.the unchanged environment becomes static and after they have played with all the equipments with no new challenges the behaviour of the children may become difficult to menage,as theylook for further stimulation both for positive and negative.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5-how can educators promote a sense of belonging within the early childhood setting?
A child’s sense of belonging can be referred to their relationships with family members – recognizing mum, dad, siblings, grandparents etc. Within early childhood, a child’s sense of belonging can relate to how comfortable a child is within the setting, having a sense of trust and security with childcare professionals. When a child has a sense of belonging they are more confident, feel more secure, be more creative and more likely to explore the world of learning.
Strategies to include Belonging:
• Being respectful and accepting of diversity
• Showing mutual respect
• Have knowledge of families within the centre
• Provide positive and caring relationships
• Engage and interact with children
• Making families feel welcomed
• Appreciating children for their individuality
• Create meaningful learning within the environment
• Meet each individual child’s needs
• Provide a sense of security
