Explain the connection between one (1) developmental theory and a ‘Principle’ from BBB: EYLF.The theory may be one you used in( Vygotsky, Erikson, Bruner, Piaget, Bronfenbrenner, Gardner, Bandura, Kohlberg, Skinner, Bowlby, Ainsworth, Gesell, Maslow, Chomsky, John Dewey, Pikler, Katz, Elkind, Rogoff, Smilansky, Watson, and Montessori )

my answer:
Principles relates to our beliefs and values. The Early Years Learning Framework provides us with Principles to guide us in our work with children and focuses on assisting each individual child to make progress towards the Learning Outcomes. As a educator, we need to know use the development theories to guide our work with children, their families and the community, and to help children to developing.
For example:
Maslow”s theories: Safety needs and Love and belonging.
The two levels are more likely to be found in children because they generally have a greater need to feel safe and belonging. We can connect the theories to Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships – having an understanding and being aware of children’s thoughts and feelings. Positively interacting with each individual child in their learning and support the development of a child’s sense of wellbeing.

Vygotsky's theories: Vygotsky places considerably more emphasis on social factors contributing to cognitive development. This theories connect to Partnerships – working in partnerships with families within the early childhood setting. Creating a warm and welcoming environment for all children and their families. Collaborating with childcare professionals, parents, people within the community to ensure learning experiences are meaningful for the children.
Jean Piaget theory:He believed children were active learners. children must be given opportunities to explore, discover and experiment.to connect High Expectations and equity – believing that all children are able to succeed, regardless of cultural diversity and abilities. Having high expectations for all children in their achievement in learning. Ensure that all children have opportunities to achieve learning outcomes.
Maslow’s theories:  The esteem needs and Self-actualization. Connect to Respect for diversity – respecting, valuing and reflecting the values and beliefs of families. Show consideration and respect of cultures, languages, histories, traditions, family lifestyle practices of all families. Promote a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. Educator need encourage different culture, background, language, beliefs and behaviour children to reflect on his own behaviour and speak his language.
Piaget and Vygotsky believes that young children are curious and actively involved in their own learning and the discovery and development of new understandings .Connect to Ongoing learning and reflective practices – continually improve professional knowledge and learning practices. Value the local knowledge of families and the community. Engage in ongoing learning of philosophy, ethics and practice. Gather information that supports children’s developmental learning.
