Post by rensimpson76 » Tue May 21, 2013 8:39 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: health and safety for children
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
List at least 6 strategies which ensure children are being supervised according to the service's policy and ensuring you meet all legal requirements. Include the legal requirements for a group of children aged over 3 years but not yet school age.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Really unsure how to answer this question but this is what I have so far.
1. Making sure the children sit at meals times
2. Supervision during toileting : wash hands etc
3. Supervision of outside play to prevent falls and accidents etc
4. Supervision during nappy change time: prevent falls
5. Supervision during inside activities to prevent fights, tantrums etc.

Description and Message:
Really unsure how to happen as I don't really understand the question. Any help would be much appreciated as I would like to hand in my assignment ASAP and this is the only question I am stuck on.
Thank you in advance!
Renee

ensure continuity of care and adequate supervision at all times, maybe making a staff roster.
the way u set up the equipment and the way they use the playground equipment.
by having staff to a child ratios to ensure adequate supervision at all times.
by being aware of the environment and its potential risks, the weather conditions.
