	Top 5 Observations Templates Hi Visitor, Observations are crucial for all early childhood settings and are used to build an understanding of a child’s skills, interests, abilities and focus on what they can do. Here are the top 5 Observation Templates available to download. Written Obs (FREE) The Written Observation template is used to observe a child, reflect on their interests and skills, follow up with an extension experience and provide an evaluation of the child’s learning. It also has two photo boxes one can be used for the observation and the other for the follow up experience. DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE Obs in Theory The Observation Theory template enables educators to link their observation to child development theories. Theories enable educators to draw upon a range of perspectives to understand a child's learning and development. It provides an opportunity for educators to discuss different theories and beliefs and to investigate why children act in the way that they do and challenge traditional ways of seeing children. DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE Belonging Being Becoming (FREE) The Belonging, Being and Becoming template is used to take 3 quick jottings for an individual child observation. Each column focuses on either belonging, being and becoming and comes with individual photo boxes.
