Why does orange represent Harmony Week?

Orange has been the colour of Harmony Week since 1999 when it was open for the first time. Orange stands for two-way social communication. The developments of new ideas, illuminate the sense of oneness and freedom to be ourselves are getting imprinted by the orange colour which are the themes of the event.

Cultural diversity, ethnic diversity, linguistics, different cultures and different religions are being celebrated through Harmony Week. It is a week-long celebration, celebrated throughout the country.  It was started in 1999 and became one of the most successful events in Australia. Australia being a successful multicultural country,  every year celebrates this event.
