People really underestimate how strict opening and closing rules are in childcare. One staffing mistake and suddenly licensing is breathing down everybody’s neck lol. Not something worth winging tbh.

Totally agree opening and closing in childcare is no joke, the rules are super strict and licensing doesn’t mess around. Ratios, sign‑ins, staff coverage, even who’s physically on the floor at certain times all get scrutinised, and one slip can trigger a compliance headache. It’s definitely not something you can wing or “fix later” having clear staffing plans, checklists, and communication systems in place makes a huge difference.
