Remembrance Day & Toddlers

Hello Educators
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for activities for my toddler room for remembrance day?
Our centre has a ban on all colouring in and activity sheets - we cant even draw a specific picture if a child asks.
The children are aged 15 months to 3 years so a big variation in abilities. We've done paper plate poppes, group paintings with handprints etc.
We have a display which we can re-use which incorporates lots of things from ANZAC day but i want things the children can engage in. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I did think of making pipe cleaner and tissue paper poppies - the children can make as many as they like and we can make our own field of poppies in the garden outside our room.
Any other ideas would be appreciated?!
