Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sustainable Practices

I am currently on my placement for my diploma. I am doing a environmental sustainablity unit and am required to have discussions with children regarding environment and sustainablity. One such discussion requires us to ask two questions to children and discuss Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sustainable practices and care for the environment. I am at a loss regardng this. I do not remember the theoretical talking about this I do not remember anything specific on it in regards to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander culture.
The only thing I can think to do is to use Dreamtime stories like Tiddalick and ask the children about the importance of water and conserving it but I am not sure that this is acceptable. Is it too tokenistic? Does it truly answer the question?
