For each of the educator support strategies, list an example.

Educator Support Strategies:

• Acknowledgement and Praise
- Definition: Educators praise children to acknowledge that we value and appreciate the efforts/work and/or their behaviour.

• Social and Concrete Rewards
- Definition: Educators use social and concrete rewards to acknowledge and reward children's efforts/work and/or their behaviour.

• Encouragement
- Definition: Educators encourage children to prompt the learning and development this self esteem, confidence, resilience and persistence.

• Scaffolding
Definition: Educators work along side with children to help and guide them to complete a task/or to extend their knowledge, interests of all skills.

• Redirection
Definition: Educators redirecting the child's attention away from the unwanted activity/behaviour to an acceptable activity/behaviour.

•Intervention
Definition: Educators stepping in to avoid an anticipated negative outcome, before it occurs.

• Logical Consequences
Definition: Educators apply a logical consequence to help the children to develop self-discipline and to think about the effects of their behaviour

• Conflict Resolution
Definition: Educators teach children conflict resolution strategies so children learn the language and skills to effectively, and then independently resolve conflict.

Now I have to provide an example of the educator support strategy for each of these.
I have only done 2 of these.. And I need help for the rest of them.
I did:
Acknowledgement and Praise:
- give them undivided attention while they explain their work.
- show verbal and non-verbal interest.
- do not put you own assumptions on their work.
- offer praise but ensure that it is specific and genuine.

And for Encouragement:
- focus and comment on the child's strengths instead of weakness.

That's all I could do.. And I am not sure if it's even correct or not. Please help and correct me guys.

Yes, you're on the right track with your response! Since you have the definition you should be able to come up with the strategies... If you're having trouble try searching for examples to see what you can find...
