Children need a variety of nutrients to grow
1. Protein:. Foods including meat, fish, legumes, nuts and dairy are rich in protein.

2. Carbohydrates: Foods including whole grains (such as whole wheat bread, brown rice), fruits and vegetables are rich in carbohydrates.

3. Fats: Choose sources of healthy fats such as fish, nuts, olive oil, etc.

4. Vitamins and minerals: Vitamins and minerals are important for the proper functioning of a child's immune system, bone development, and other bodily functions. A variety of vegetables, fruits and nuts are rich in vitamins and minerals.

5. Calcium and Vitamin D: Dairy products, legumes, green leafy vegetables and fish are good sources of these two nutrients.

6. Iron: Iron is responsible for carrying oxygen to all parts of the body. Red meat, fish, green leafy vegetables and legumes are rich in iron.
