The NSW Departments of Education and Communities and Justice hosted a workshop on navigating child safety reporting duties on March 28, 2022, which is currently still available to view. The webinar provides information on child reporting obligations and navigating reporting child safety issues or child protection concerns to the relevant agencies.

International play specialist Marc Armitage from the UK touring WA for Educators to attend a Professional Development session on Risky Dodgy Play, The Benefits of Playing Outside and Experimenting With Elements of Danger.

On 30th May, Play Australia will be conducting a free webinar for Educators on risky play. Educators will have the opportunity to see examples of risky play in action outdoors and how this is shared with families and reflected upon within the educating team. 

In NSW, nominated supervisors and persons in day-to-day charge must complete a child protection course required by a Government protocol applying to the approved provider in accordance with section 162A of the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law. In-house training is not sufficient.
