HI there all
I must be crazy because I have enrolled to do postgraduate work. I am doing a specialisations certificate, concentrating on collaborative learning & ICT. Is only 1 year long and haven't got any of my readers yet but I am sure lots of very late nights coming up.
All the best to everyone doing study. My tip -drink lots coffee LOL

I've actually decided to withdraw from this semester. With all my pregnancy health complications over the past couple months and being in and out of hospital I decided that I wasn't able to cope with uni assignments for now and best to focus on my health and well being before bub arrives. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that I don't have to stress over uni, however I am a little disappointed that I wasn't able to complete this semester. I'll probably take some time off from uni and then re-evaluate my options.

Prob best LA. This is the time to devote to your health & baby. Uni can wait & you're young so you can see how you go. Maybe take a year off and start up again.
Xxx

I am doing 4 subjects at JCU. They are Foundations of Education, Foundations of Technology, Indigenous Australian World Views 1: Survival, Identity and Cultural Diversity and Introduction to Counseling. This is my second semester I started mid semester last year and have completed Foundations of maths and Introduction to psychology. Is anyone else doing this would be good to help each other discuss ideas etc.

 4 subjects in one semester?

I cannot wait for my subjects to start for this semester.... stuff should be available for us from 2moro so looking fwd to seeing what these 2 units really entail. Would be nice if I could get a head start however I have not got any of the textbooks....its so hard with Uni books being so expensive and what with my surgery and not being able to work thats no income for a month so feel guilty even thinking about spending money.
LOL anyway selling some stuff on ebay to pay for uni books .... Sigh!

fefe - my post grad is through murdoch uni. Can complete it externally which was a big drawcard as well as the collaborative learning unit that is a passion of mine.
Hoping to do a learning difficulties one next (but best I get through this one first!)

L.A. - i think you have made the right decision. Uni isn't going anywhere and you can always start again when things are more settled. All the best for the last little bit of your pregnancy. Hope it isn't too hot for you at the moment

If you need help with an assignment/essay then you will need to fill out a support ticket in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies - Assignment Support forum. This topic is to be used as a general discussion only.

That's Fantastic! So how are you finding the units so far? Have you started any practicals as yet?

Hi Fefe- way to go!
How many units are in the course? And I am wondering what texts/ text books do you need? I SO want to start this degree before the end of the year. You inspire me. :-)

I got straight into my final year so only 8 units for the year to get my Bachelor of Teaching. Obviously doing it PT while working FT so taking a bit longer. Done 3 so far doing 2 this semester and 2 next semester and 1 in my final semester and yay I'll finally have a degree *sniff sniff*

Thanks for the reply Fefe . Is this the degree where they allow you to enrol in the final year with the Diploma as a prerequisite? Will you be selling any text books down the track ? Wink wink lol

May or may not sell my textbooks as I like to keep them as they are useful resources
