NSW JobTrainer Programme - Free Qualifications Including Cert 3, Diploma And Short Courses In Early Childhood

The NSW and Commonwealth governments are providing fee-free part and full qualification courses for job searchers and existing workers in the early childhood education and care sector under the NSW JobTrainer programme. JobTrainer provides fee-free training that is fully financed by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has had a detrimental impact on job growth in several industries, early childhood education and care continue to rise. This means that qualified persons who are committed to caring for children and supporting their development and well-being will have plenty of career opportunities.

Furthermore, the early childhood education and care sector currently demand that its employees possess (or be working toward) one of the following credentials:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Fee-free training is available to any qualified NSW resident who chooses to enrol in early childhood education and care certificate. This means that completely subsidised spaces are available to anyone who is interested and fits the criteria, regardless of a work situation or prior qualifications.

Eligibility

  • aged 16 and over
  • living or working in NSW
  • an Australian/New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder
  • a school leaver
  • employed/existing worker. 

You do not have to be working in the early childhood education and care sector or have the previous industry experience to access fee-free full and part qualifications in early childhood education and care.

No matter who you are, NSW JobTrainer makes it easier to access the training you need to enter this rewarding sector. 

Training under JobTrainer is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.

Fee-free Courses Include: 

  • Certificate 3 In Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Diploma Of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Perform CPR
  • Identify Respond and Support Rights and Safety Of Children At Risk
  • CPR, Emergency LifeSupport, First Aid
