Under the NSW JobTrainer program, the NSW and Commonwealth Governments are funding fee‑free training places for existing workers in the childcare industry to complete the Diploma in Early Education and Care (CHC50113).
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who either hold a:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Under NSW JobTrainer, eligibility has been extended to allow existing workers to access fee-free training courses in ECEC.

How To Access Training
1. Employers should assess the training and/or upskilling needs of eligible staff.
2. Employers and existing workers can review the range of early childhood education full and part qualification courses available under NSW JobTrainer.
3. Employers can contact their preferred Smart and Skilled approved training provider or local skills broker or email the Workforce Development team
4. Employers should work with the training provider to schedule suitable training for their existing workers. Supporting skills development for existing workers is an excellent way to retain valued and qualified staff.
A diploma-trained educator workforce is instrumental to children’s development and lifting the quality of early learning environments.
