National Reconciliation Week 2022

On Tuesday, May 3, Educators are invited to a free webinar, hosted by Narragunnawali, that will unpack the 2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) theme, “Be Brave. Make Change.” The webinar will explore ways Educators incorporate reconciliation and share some practical ideas for learning about and celebrating the theme in early childhood services.

Australia celebrates National Reconciliation Week (NRW) across the country, each year between 27 May and 3 June.

The dates denote two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey. One is the anniversary of the successful 1967 referendum and the other one is the High Court Mabo decision. It is very meaningful and also we can say it has a great value for Australians to celebrate the National Reconciliation Week (NWR) because it gives light on our history which makes us more knowledgeable about the past incidents and also celebrates our culture and gives unity in all of us and we feel motivated to work for the benefit of our society. It also brings determination and makes us courageous to take the steps toward a big change that will bring positive effects o us and also to our next generation.

The webinar which is scheduled to happen on Tue, May 3, 2022, at 4:00 PM

It will explore different ways that teachers and educational communities can take to have brave actions and incorporate reconciliation into their daily professional and personal lives, and share some practical ideas for learning about and celebrating the theme in the classroom, around the school or in early learning service, and with the community.

Reconciliation in early childhood education and care will ultimately lead to making them united and also help them to learn about and value Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. So below is the information about how you can join this webinar.
