Hi
I start placement in a week and a half and was wondering what should I expect while on placement and what should I take with me,
I am doing 2 days a week from 9-1pm as I would need to leave to pick my children up from school so centre has said I can do till 2pm if wanted.
do I need to take all my assignments with me everyday or just the assignments I am needing for that week.
Some I have to do online as a quiz so would need to take my tablet aswell.
I know I will need to take lunch, water and a hat everyday.
Any advice would be great and really appreciated..

You must be really excited to start placement!
Yes, you already have the gist of it... you would probably be better taking the assignments needed for that week as well as your logbook (if you have one).
For taking photos of children you should have permission forms signed by the parents of the children you will be observing.
Take lunch, water and wide brim hat (not a cap) and you should also wear a name tag and enclosed shoes such as sneakers.
Here is some more information on work placement which may help:

Let me know how you go!

i am feeling nervous and excited at the same time.
i am going to print out some more permission forms to make sure i have enough.
i have to go and buy my clothes for placement and get a bigger bag to fit my stuff.
thank you for reminding me about a name tag as i would of forgotten. just need to find somewhere to get 1.
apart from that i am all ready to go.

I almost forgot... you can also use this:
Workplacement Student Form
It's free for you to download as well! It's a notice - for you to add a photo of yourself and let the the families know who you are and that you're at the centre for work placement...
It will be helpful!

According to FairWork Australia, if you work 5 hours you get 1 rest break of 10 minutes.

In regards, for placement at 2 different centres, you will have to speak to your course provider. I would recommend that you stick to the one centre just because you have the same children to focus on and you will get to know them and the staff better...

Yes that's pretty common, unfortunately, however, you should have time at placement to do your assignments as well... You are not a paid worker so you should not be overloaded with tasks and responsibilities... have a chat with the Director to see how you can manage your assignments while at the centre...
