Diploma and Work Placement Hours

I understand with the Cert 3 there are set work placement hours for different age groups. Is this the same with the Diploma?

Recently students who have been on work placement for Diploma that I have seen, have only done their hours with 1 specific age group. I'm not sure if this is because of their course provider or how it is...
