Hi there,

I have just started as an Educator here in North Melbourne. Can someone explain CCR and CCB. Who claim's CCR? What rates are everyone on? Our Provider charges 75% for Admin fees per child . What does it mean when a child has 50 hours and you have 5 children ? How does this work with our Attendance Record Book. Actual hours and Contracted hours.

I take it you're working as an FDC educator?

The CCB is paid by the government and it depends on each families circumstances. Here is a calculator you can use to work out the CCB:

The CCR isn't means tested, and anyone can claim back 50% of their fees up to $7500 per child, per year.
The CCB is means tested, and the amount the family can claim back will depend on their income, how many income earners are in the household, and how many children they have in care. (Parents can also be eligible for JET funding, which means they're entitled to claim even more back. We had one mother who only had to pay $0.20 per after care session due to a low income, being a single mum, and being enrolled in JET eligible training.)
Both can be claimed as reduced fees (paid to the service) or claimed as a quarterly lump sum (paid to the parents)

As a lot of the information that goes towards working out the CCB is quite sensitive, and generally not provided to a care facility, it's probably easiest to call the CCMS help desk (https://www.education.gov.au/when-conta ... m-helpdesk) to help you figure out what everyone is entitled to. You'll need the services reference number (like a centerlink crn but for the service) and will need to have your name down as allowed to contact the CCMS helpdesk.

Are you using any software like Qikkids to help manage the CCB/CCR?
