Hello fellow workers,

Mothers day is just around the corner :D and here is an idea that you could possibly use with your group of children :)

At our centre to celebrate mothers day, we have an afternoon tea with the mummies the friday before mothers day. We set up a table outside and during the week we make cupcakes with the children to serve during afternoon tea (along with others, like sandwiches, cakes) etc...

The children also make a small present for their mums...

Here is one I did last time,

Children make their hand prints into butterflies, and using this poem stick onto the butterflies...

This isn't just a Butterfly
As you can plainly see.
I made it with my hand
Which is a part of me.
It comes with lots of Love
Especially to say
I hope you have a very
Happy Mother's Day

Hope this gives you all an idea,

The teapots look great LA.
this Mother's Day we made a special cup of tea for our Mums. We made the teacup biscuits from tic-toc biscuits, a marshmallow, a freckle lolly and 1/2 a lifesaver as the handle. They looked great (more like a cappacino tho) and the kids made one for Mum and one for themselves. The Mums came in for an hour and enjoyed their tea party. We also had fruit platters to provide some healthy stuff too. As a present for Mum, we had a printout of a basket that the children decorated and we used the flowers from Hawaiian leis (the sort you buy in $2 shops) and they glued the flowers onto the basket. They were encouraged to use colours Mum likes. Was lots of fun.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there for tomorrow :)

In this mothers day i have celebrate it in a very special way, In the morning i wished my mom by giving her a lovely hug and then i plan a surprise party for her. I make a cake and some snacks for us and enjoyed a lot with my full family. I have learned all these things from kids activities.
