Paid for closure of childcare centres

In view of recent events, I am a bit worried if my childcare centre has to go temporary shut down due to the virus that's spreading around. I am not saying that it will, but after reading recent news from NSW, I am wondering if we will still get our wage if it's decided to be shut down by government orders. I know that casuals will not get any, but how about part time and full time staff?

Thanks

From what I understand you will need to take annual leave if you go into shutdown.

I'll confirm this with Fair Work Australia.

Hi, with the number of children attending my centre dropping off majorly due to the virus, and as a full time worker my hours have been cut in half without warning or explanation. Is this legal?

Hi,
I'm working in chidcare and because of low numbers I said I'm happy to use my annual stay at home with my son.that way I can keep son without sending him in childcare.
But they said they can't pay annual.can they say that ?
Thanx

I think during this time you just have to adjust and be flexible. All Educators and services are struggling at this stage. The new JobKeeper Payment may help you if you're eligible.

Thanks for the reply.
I have a question you may be able to help me with, so I am a full time employee whose hours are cut down due to the virus, but looking at my roster I am only going to get 2 hours pay for the Friday public holiday?
Can they do this, I thought public holidays would remain a full day?
Thanks
