Nappy change procedures

Hi I just wanted to know if you need to use a wipe for a child girl or boy if they have only wet nappy? Is it different with either? I’ve seen others not wipe so I just want to know correct procedure in a childcare setting.

Typically I wipe wees otherwise it gets very itchy, smelly and could also cause redness and nappy rash.

Thankyou for ur response how do we correctly and respectfully wipe boys and girls? I’m just concerned and want to do things correctly I am also new to the industry and this has not been discussed with me
