Anyone doing their Diploma with ACTAC?

Is anyone here studying their Diploma online through ACTAC (Australian College of Teacher Aides and Childcare)?
Just wondering if you could tell me what it's like. I really want to study my Diploma but its roughly $5000 through TAFE, Uni, Open Colleges etc - I can't apply for any subsidies and I can't afford $5000. ACTAC only costs $1499 but I'm worried it's not legit. Has anyone had a bad experience?

Thank you all. I commenced my study and so far am enjoying it. I find the wording of the assessment questions to be a little lacking of detail, but ive completed 5 units and my trainer has said nothing but praise about my work.

Hi All,

How are you going with ACTAC ? How is your experience so far with them ?

I am considering starting my diploma with ACTAC and your recommendations here will be very valuable to me before taking the decision.

Thanks.

Hi I started my diploma a week ago. But for some reason, I am sending questions to the trainer and have not heard from her yet. Is this new? or how do things work with communicating with trainers? Is it my perception that communication is bad?? I am stuck on the first two sets of the course because of the lack of communication.
Thanks!

After studying with them for almost 2 years, I can safely say I would not recommend them. The trainers and administration have been great, however I've found the work load to be a lot more than my colleagues. The wording of questions is also impossible to understand at times. I've heard good reviews about ACCO, maybe check them out?
