Tael(4 and a half) was invited to his friend Sam's fifth birthday party. Sam has only recently come to the centre and the two boys are great mates. Tael didn't have a close friend until Sam came and has been blossoming recently. Tael was happy to go and had a wonderful time. His mother Marita, who is very religious, asked to talk to you the following week. Marita said she was worried about the friendship between the children because Sam had no father but had "two mothers". She doesn't like that and believes it is morally wrong. She asked you to make sure the children didn't play together.
a. What is the core of the problem?
b.What can you do about this situation?
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
a. Cultural differences and family structures are very different between the two boys.
Marita doesn't believe in same sex relationships.
b.I would explain to Marita that the two boys are very close. That tael didn't have a close friend until Sam came along and dispute the family differences Tael is blossoming with the help of Sam's friendship. I would also say that I am unable to make sure the children don't play together as the children are in the same room.
