Theorists and theories

I'm on the home stretch of my diploma with around 9weeks to go but myself and the majority of the class are struggling and have decided to research information on our own as we are not getting the support or answer when asking our teachers for help!
So my question to anyone that maybe able to help is that we have started and also skipped bits of information on contemporary theories and theorists. Personally I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the research out there and I am struggling to get my head around it..
Could anyone point me in the right direction or give any hints to make it slightly easier?

Hi libbea,

I bet you will be happy when its all finished. I chose the theorists I wanted to use from the brief description in the text books recommended for the Diploma then I did a more detailed search online. I chose ones with a similar view as my own that way it was easier to follow their theory and write up about them. I'm not sure which of the 4 study books they are in, if you are stuck I can look up which book they are in this afternoon.
Your nearly there, put the books down for a couple of days and clear your head. Usually once I do that it doesn't seem so overwhelming.

Must be hard not being able to get support or help from the teacher. It must be a common occurrence though since this forum in inundated with students requiring understanding and further information on assignment questions...

There is a lot of information on different theorists out there and it can get very confusing! Hopefully the following information can help:

Also take Linsaa's advice as well. Just take a breather for a couple of days then get back to it again! Only 9 weeks to go! Hang in there!

Good Luck,
