Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Develop teams and individuals
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
1. Shown leadership and negotiation skills and gained the trust of colleagues.

2. Implemented a learning plan by creating workplace learning opportunities and assisting individuals and team to achieve outcomes.

3. Communicated effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and with diverse abilities.

4. Used technology to support effective communication and presentation.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
for question 1 I was thinking of maybe putting an example of how I've been on veranda in the afternoons at my service which means being responsible for whole environment such as staff, children, talking to parents, giving messages, sometimes answering phone, checking staff to child ratios for staff to finish their shifts, getting a free staff member to do jobs needed in the service e.g., washing, cleaning etc. would that be a good example to put? or maybe when the group leader and assistant in the babies room were both away sick for the day so I had to run the babies room and be responsible for the whole room, directing staff, planning things to do that day etc. and this also gained trust from the group leader and assistant from the babies room that I could run their room successfully when they were absent. I wouldn't know how to show and example for negotiation skills for either one of those answers tho? ad don't know which answer would be better to use or if they are both not answering the question correctly.

I'm not sure how to answer question 2. any ideas???

for question 3 we have an Indian lady working at my service and she is also our nominated supervisor but I'm not sure how I could answer this question. any ideas???

and question 4 I do group times with the children using my laptop to do number and letter recognition and adding and subtracting games so that is a use of technology but that's not exactly answering the question so I'm not sure what to put. any ideas???

Description and Message:
that's as much as I could think of to try an answer these questions, not much sorry but any hep would be greatly appreciated. :)

Here are a few pointers to add to your responses:

Your example of being on veranda in the afternoon is a good example which you can use for Q1. It shows your leadership qualities and how colleagues are rusting towards you. You just need to add something about negotiations. Maybe negotiating with another staff member about jobs that need to be done for the day... or something like that.

For Q2 - A learning plan is similar to a mind map. Has there been a time during a staff meeting maybe that when talking about the quality areas you have to brainstorm ideas on how to implement them within the centre. For example: a family from a different culture enrolled into your service which you and you team are not familiar with. So, you need to learn with the team about the families culture, language, how to support them within the centre etc.

For Q3 - Language, Culture, Customs and Etiquette

For Q4 - I think your example needs to be in regards to staff within your centre. Have you ever had to do a presentation during a staff meeting, show something to a staff member on the internet. Find information to share with staff etc.

Well hopefully these ideas help,

thank you so much for your help. :) I was just thinking about what you said with question 2 we have a Chinese boy that attends the service. when he first started at the service he couldn't speak much English at our staff meeting we discussed and planned what we could to help him feel comfortable and supported within the service we talked about learning some Chinese language to use at the service like saying hello and goodbye to him in Chinese, talked about learning more about his families culture, we discussed on trying to get a Chinese support worker to come in and help support him, planned to do group times about Chinese culture to teach all the children about it, planned to more language skills in English to help further his language skills. would that be okay to use??? :)
