hey ladies how are you all i am new here just started my course in child care please need some help thanx heaps.

There is a specific process in place that you can refer this parent to in order to address their concerns. It is called:
Select one:
a. The Parent's Rights Process
b. The Dignity of Risk Process
c. The Duty of Care Process {THIS IS THE WRONG ANSWER}
d. The Complaints Management Process
e. None of the above

One of your colleagues overheard Tony's parent speak with you and remarked that they didn't really understand 'dignity of risk' in the context of childcare. Which of the following activities would you recommend to them as the most likely way help them with this issue?
Select one:
a. Review your workplace's Work Health & Safety procedures
b. Explore some continuing professional education options
c. Forget about it, it's not likely to come up again
d. Read a book about conflict resolution
e. None of the above {THIS IS THE WRONG ANSWER}

There is natural 'tension' between the concepts of 'duty of care' and 'dignity of risk' because of what each seeks to enable and ensure. In the scenario above, letting Tony play with other children in the playground is an example of which concept taking priority?
Select one:
a. Duty of care
b. Dignity of risk
c. Both at once {THIS IS THE WRONG ANSWER}
d. Neither of them

The new trainee considers what you have said to her and asks you to explain the difference which is more important, your rights or your needs. Which of the following responses is the most accurate explanation.
Select one:
a. That there is a relationship between human needs and human rights, each of these is just as important as the other.
b. That human rights are more important than human needs {THIS IS THE WRONG ANSWER}
c. That human needs are more important than human rights
d. That human rights and human needs are the same thing

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN LADIES

1) Sounds like the parent wants to make a complaint or has an issue... which would you choose?

2) Dignity of risk - means respecting each individual’s autonomy and self-determination (or “dignity”) to make choices for himself or herself. The concept means that all adults have the right to make their own choices about their health and care, even if healthcare professionals believe these choices endanger the person’s health or longevity.

3) Duty of Care - a moral or legal obligation to ensure the safety or well-being of others. Which will you choose?

4) Human needs are tangible and intangible possessions that humans will not survive without, like food and water. Human rights are tangible and intangible possessions that humans are entitled to by virtue of being human.

Hope this gives you some ideas!
