Describe an intervention plan you would develop to support the child .Include how the program would need to be altered in order to reduce the level of stress the child may be exposed to.
I was thinking along the lines of this
Maybe make a book hard/digital copy that outlines the routine for the day at the centre this can be read to Megan before going to bed and or when she gets anxious about coming to kindy. Collaborating with Megan on printing out some of her favourite toys in which she can have a copy at home and at school. Ask Megan what her favourite things are as a distraction for drop of also when she needs time to calm down. Monitor Megan closely to see what triggers her.
The program will be altered in order to cut out as much stress as possible this will be done by
- Allowing Megan to bring a book to rest time / rest near educators
- Have a 'quite area' for her to draw or colour things in to calm her down
- Allow Megan to come up with her ideas to contribute to this.
