Scenario: Assistant Resigns When Nomintaed Supervisor Is Away

If the nominated supervisor/certifies supervisor is due back to the center in 8 days and an assistant has resigned and provided 5 days effective notice:

1. What and why should I do?
2. Who should I communicate this information too?

As I am not working in a center, I wrote that I will advice the assistance about the situation and ask her to wait till the supervisor is back because I can't accept her letter. I also noted that I should communicate with the higher personal available in the center and also send it to the supervisor.

Is that correct?

Thanks for the help

Hi, How did you go with that question?

I have the same question and am a bit unsure what to write in there. I am thinking maybe I need to try to talk to the assistant to wait those few days, try to find out why she wants to resign and ask if there is anything we can do to improve our relations and make her stay. Also I would communicate this issue with the director or my other available supervisor.
