Hi
Can someone please give me ideas to answer this. I have no clue where to start and what to fill. This is the only question left and I am struggling,. Please help.
You are required to plan an orientation program for 19-year-old Adam, a newly appointed Certificate III Trainee.
To complete this task you will need to:
a. Use the attached induction checklist to devise a 6 week orientation plan. You should also refer to the Position and Duties Statement to assist you with this task.
You need to consider:
• What information will be provided - consider additional information relating to policies/procedures etc.
• When information is provided to Adam - what information should be provided on day one/week one- week six? For example: the key information that must be provided in relation to employment conditions, rights, obligations, WHS, as well as general house-keeping information such as parking, meal breaks etc.
• How the information will be provided – written, verbal, demonstration, observation
• How you will identify the gaps in Adam’s skills and knowledge that will need to be addressed so that he can undertake his duties effectively and safely
• How to include an on-the-job study/learning program to support Adam’s study requirements
b. Write a rationale to explain your orientation strategies.
c. Explain how you would determine if the orientation program has been effective.
You may use the ‘Orientation Program’ Template or develop one of your own (however you must ensure all required information is provided).
