RPL Legislation and Frameworks

I have just started this RPL unit and i'M already in trouble! The first questions asks me to describe a work situation where I had to work for a client then asks a range of questions:
- what are some common legal issues relevant to the work role (include types of law)
- what legal obligations and responsibilities did you have in the role
- what was your duty of care
- who were you legally accountable to
- explain what information you had to keep confidential
- what agreements did you usually require from the client before you could commence work
- briefly outline the procedure you were required to follow in providing services for the client

So....
1. Common legal issues in childcare? Do I refer to mandatory reporting of suspected abuse; workplace safety in terms of reporting injuries, laws covering the cleaning of equipment, food handling??
2. Is this all the elements of the EYLF?
3. Who am I legally responsible to? my employer?
4. I'm not sure if the confidentiality rules of my Centre are legal rules or just policies followed by my Centre?
5. I have no idea about what procedures i must follow in providing services to the client who I presume is the parent unless it is the requirements set out by the EYLF as reflected in my Centre's Policy Manual?

I would appreciate any advice

Thanks

This will give you an overview of the National Regulations and Law:

Guide To The ECS Regulations and Law From here you can probably pick out a "regulation" that you can use in your scenario.

Hope this helps,
