Responding To Abuse and Protecting Child's Privacy

Hi I am looking for some assistance with my 'Identify children and young people at risk' assignment.

My question:
1 understanding the child has been abused, how would you respond to a child, without leading them, who is struggling to find the words to communicate that they have been the subject of abuse?

2 what should you do in order to protect the privacy of a child or young person with whom you are working?

Thank you in advance!

How amazing that you're seeking help with such a crucial problem! Create a safe and supportive setting with open-ended questions and active listening for your first query. For the second question, limit information sharing to relevant providers and prioritize the child's best interests. Good luck with your homework!
