10. Outline your legal and ethical responsibilities and obligations towards:
- a child with mild Asperger’s
- a child with same sex parents
- a child with a severe disability
a child whose family does not speak English at home.
Her feedback was : Unfortunately, this is not a specific example of an ethical dilemma or when you have had to make an ethical decision.
Please see your learner guide for 1.4 and resubmit.
here are my new answers so far not sure if they are correct ?
6.
A child with mild Asperger’s,
as a educator it is my job to provide my full attention to the child and make sure they are treated the same as any other child in the centre, I must protect them from being discriminated against as Australian human rights commission shows that it is unlawful to discriminate a child with any disability, I must plan a routine as it is my duty of care to help the child feel equal in the centre
A child with a severe disability.
A child with severe disability. As a educator I am obligated to make sure that the child who has a severe disability is treated the same as the other children in the centre, I must show support and provide my full attention to the student at all times I will not allow discrimination against the child as the “Australian human rights commission leads the implementation of the disability discrimination act 1992” this law makes disability discrimination unlawful and aims to promote equal rights towards children with disabilities as a educator it is job to follow code of ethics and provide full support of the child.
still stuck on same sex parents and a child who doesnt speak english at home
