Hi guys
Just needing help with this question I'm not sure about this.. I'm not understanding it properly..

Early childhood programs recognise that learning occurs in a social context and that family, cultural and environmental factors impact significantly on learning opportunities and learning outcomes for young children.

How do I put this into practice? Like what's an example

How about getting each family to fill in a "weekend" form where they write a brief description on what they did on the weekend. From here, you can include anything relevant onto the program. For example: in India around (Oct/Nov) Diwali is celebrated where children wear new clothes, light lamps, start fireworks etc. If a parent adds this onto the feedback form or tells you about it, you can add this onto the program as cultural and family factors. This question is referring to not just what the child can learn from at the centre but what they do outside of the centre that you can create learning from...

Hope this helps,
