Hi Guys,
I'm currently up to task 3 question 3 in the culture cluster and i'm abit stuck the question is :
3. You will need to consult with appropriate persons to obtain knowledge of local cultural groups to complete this next task. State the name and contact of who you consulted in the Indigenous community to answer the following questions. Before you contact this person or organization describe how you will show respect/protocol.
Respectful considerations:
Name:
Contact:
What is the name of your communities’ local Indigenous people? Gundungurra
What language is spoken or was once spoken by this group? Ngunnawal or Gundungurra is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language
What historical issues relating to the Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander people occurred in this community?
How can you support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in the local education and care service? This might include understanding family structures, art and religion.
(the bit in blue is my answer)
I know my closest area is the Gundungurra People but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for the info or give me some examples for how to word the answers, or if anyone else is in my area that i could talk to about this. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thankyou in advance
