Hi again, Lorina. I am working on the workbook "Work legally and ethically" - almost the end of the course for me( just one more huge practical book for me to go)
I am a bit confused with one question in the book "work legally and ethically". Could you pls have a look?
the question is
What are the key statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to your work role an Early Childhood Educator?
In the learner guide I have got a list:
These may include:
Building standards
Education and Care Services National Law & National Regulations
Child protection and guardianship legislation
The Convention on the Rights of the Child
Early Childhood Australia- Code of Ethics
Disability standards
Discrimination and harassment
Equal employment opportunities
Freedom of information
Health records legislation
International and national standards
Privacy legislation
Public health
WHS
Food Safety Legislation
As far as I understand I need to pick the ones I am dealing with as an Educator? Is this right?
SO my answer is the following:
The key statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to my work role as an Early childhood educator are the following:
Education and Care Services National Law & National Regulations

The Convention on the Rights of the Child
Early Childhood Australia- Code of Ethics
Disability standards
Discrimination and harassment
Equal employment opportunities
Freedom of information
Health records legislation
Privacy legislation
Public health
WHS
Food Safety Legislation
So, it is pretty much everything except for the building standards, freedom of information, International and national standards as I consider them irrelevant for my field.
Dear Lorina, Could you pls tell me am I on the right track? Is this correct?
thank you in advance,
regards,
Sasha
