Good Morning, I am stuck with this question. Can you please help me out.
Thanks
Research and prepare a report that shows how you would complete a risk assessment when planning an excursion with children.
Write a brief summary describing the excursion; for example, the venue or destination, transport, excursion activities and the age and number of children involved. Develop your risk assessment based on this information.
Use your service’s policies and procedure documents and blank copies of service documents to record as much information as possible.
Include the following in your report:
1.      All existing and potential hazards you can identify, including hazards you are required to consider as outlined in the Education and Care Services National Regulation 101
2.      A risk grid or matrix for each hazard you identified, explaining how the hazards fit into the grid or matrix and how you measure the potential harm
3.      How you plan to control each hazard and manage the risk by using the hierarchy of control

This may help:

In the National Regulations and Law is says that you need to do a risk assessment of the place you're going to for the excursion. In this document it also gives you a template which you can use when undertaking the risk assessment (page 165)

Guide to National Regulations and Law

Excursions
Undertaking a risk assessment is part of planning a routine outing or excursion. The risk assessment will need to take into account the levels of supervision and number of adults needed for the entire time the children are out of the service premises, residence or venue. Volunteers, such as parent helpers, may assist to provide additional supervision. Services might consider how attendance numbers will be verified at certain times during the excursion, such as when leaving the venue or travelling on public transport. Strategies that might be used include head counts, or allocating a group of children to a particular adult or educator ( page 63)

Hope this helps,
