I think we are studying with the same RTO... I get tired of their unclear questions... Really anoying. I wish the questions were worded more clearly on what they want.

if we are with the same RTO there is a section in the learner guide. I am doing this module so not sure if on right track but I wrote one to two points on each.
like Safety = working in the best interests of the child, following workplace health and safety

I'm up to module 3 workplace effectiveness. I'm keen to join a group though I don't work in the industry yet so I really have no idea what I'm doing half the time!

Hey I am also up to module 3 and never worked in the industry! Have you completed question 2.8? I am working on it now but have no idea if I am doing it right. There is very little in the workbook to provide help (as usual)!

yeah I did that one last week, I'm up to 3.2
I haven't received feedback from first module yet so no idea if I'm on the right track either.

longer term protection issues are things like being in foster care, having parental custody agreements, difficulty forming relationships, trust, drug dependency
things like that? what are you more stuck on?

ok thank you - I think I am on the right track. Did you find that most of them repeat themselves?
For Physical abuse I put:
Long term issues for someone who has been physically abused as a child include: suffer from physical, emotional and social effects of the abuse throughout their lives, are at greater risk of developing a mental illness, becoming homeless, engaging in criminal activity, show signs of aggressive and violent behaviour and face unemployment. They may also suffer from depression and lack self esteem.
Foster care, Counseling services,
Also at the bottom of that page it asks for reporting mechanisms, strategy?

yeah lots of repetition!
mechanisms I put making notes and reporting to management
strategies no tolerance, open communication
I really have no idea if I'm on right track. the student forum isn't too informative either

that's awesome!
do you have any pointers for ethical practices examples? Ive done nurturing but cant find much on ethical. and the learner guide is all about nurturing , not ethical in that area :/
I feel like I'm spending way too much time on these questions.

well I am glad I am not the only one stuck on that question! I was up to midnight trying to finish it!
I ended up putting:
Respect a families decision that their child is to pray every day at 2pm.
and
Work to ensure children are not discriminated against on the basis of gender, age, economic
status, family structure, lifestyle, ethnicity etc
Keen to hear if you think I am on the right track.
