Ive really struggled with this unit, its been doing my head in for months now and i just cant get my head around it.

I did a plan and asked for feedback from my teacher and was obviously way off track in the direction i was going, ( ive included this and her feedback)
but im still not 100% sure of the direction i should take
ive changed a few things

my first long term goal is now

"Play in a small group with support"

short term goals
1. Share a toy
2. use simple communication (please/ thank you/ stop)
3. not sure??

2nd long term goal
" follow directions/instructions" (not sure about this one?)

short term goals

1. Help pack away toys
2. struggling with these?
3.

Im really struggling to meet the criteria that is required and think of goals that are focused on the behaviour we want and how to achieve it
question and criteria are:

Develop a behaviour guidance plan (format is attachment A)for effectively guiding this child towards managing their own behaviour / displaying cooperative social behaviours. This plan should include all of the following details:
•2 Long Term goals
•3 Short Term goals that help achieve each of the long term goals.
These goals need to demonstrate a link to the EYLF.

•An outline of the consequences for the child when they display the identified behaviours. How will educators/ family members react to the child’s behaviour? Consider both rewarding and deterring actions as outlined in the theory of ‘Circle of Security’ in behaviour support. These need to be specific enough to ensure consistency in implementation.
(consequences to me have always been "punishment" and as she has mentioned in the feedback we are trying to avoid this, so things that i would have thought are appropriate, such as re-direction to another activity if hitting, im not suppose to use??)

•Pedagogical practices that will be implemented to support the child’s achievement of the goals. These need to be specific enough to ensure consistency in implementation.
•Suggested learning experiences and / or resources to support the child’s achievement of the goals
•Links to relevant Principles, Practices and Learning Outcomes within The Early Years Learning
Framework should be evident.

particularly in regards to rewarding and deterring actions "as outlined in the theory of circle of security"

I did circle of security when my son was born and i just dont understand what the question means in relation to rewarding and deterring behaviour and how this is linked to COS

im really finding with this unit, the information in the Learner Guide vs the information i find on google and doing my own research vs the information and criteria TAFE actually want, are extremely different and contradictory.

If anyone has any good links/ info/ samples etc ANYTHING, that might help me move past this unit and understand it better, i would be so grateful :(
