Hi i am needing a little help and a push in the right direction i am currently stuck on a question.

B) Give 5 examples of key legislation and identify which early childhood policy relates to each of them. Provide a brief description of how they impact on your role as an educator?
- Hygiene
- immunisation
-nutrition; Food& beverages, dietary requirements and food safety
-immunisation
-Child protection ( Children, Young Persons and their Families Act 1997 amended in August 2009 and December 2013.)


i am just stuck on where to start i cannot find the "names of legislation" and wondering if i was maybe on the right track?

Now i have answered Part B of the question i think i may have answered part A incorrectly;

a) Provide a brief overview of the legal system and types of law at a federal, state and local level.

my answer is a rough outline of our legal system here in Australia, but does not relate to child care much at all, i was just wondering where to find information regarding the law relating to child care, all i seem to be able to find is information about ACECQA but it doesn't seem to provide me with an answer for the question relating it all types of law.
help would be very appriciated

here is my answer so far for part a) am i on the write track and what else would i include (apart from my references):

The legal system is a term used to define the laws we have, the procedure for making those laws and the practices used to making sure these laws are followed. The legal system depicts how we as a county behave and react to certain circumstances as well as the laws and processes of determining justice. Australia has federal and state/ Territory parliaments as well as local councils with representatives elected so Australians have someone to represent them and the voices of all Australians are heard. The federal government looks after the bigger more widespread laws and legislations including but not limited to; funding for services, programs and initiatives for children and their families, Income support and employment assistance, The federal Government focuses its school funding on general assistance (general recurrent grants, capital grants and national priorities) and targeted assistance. The federal government also help families with children with public housing, community services like long-hours day care, child welfare and protection, Family law and income support services. State and territory governments administer many of the legal processes that affect children including juvenile justice, law enforcement, education and care and protection. Family law and income support services are federal responsibilities.
