Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCPR510B
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge
Your Question?
Review the group care routine/timetable in relation to National Quality Standard, EYLF and documents like "Get up and Grow".
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
This is part of what I have written.
6:30 - 9:30 Outside play
The pre-school children are combined with our kindy children until they go to their own yard at 8:30. Most children have at least 1 to 2 hours of active play. It is recommended from ’Get Up and Grow’ that children under 5 years should have physical active play everyday for at least three hours, spread throughout the day. With the additional hour of inside active play at 10:00 and outdoor play at 3:30 this gives the children at least 3 hours of active play.
9:30 - 10:00 Morning Tea
Children wash their hands, collect their lunch boxes and sit outside on the veranda at the tables. They are encouraged by educators to eat something healthy like fruit, vegetables or yoghurt. A self-help table is set up for the children to get utensils when they are needed which encourages independence as set out in the EYLF Outcome 3, Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
Description and Message:
Am I on the right track?
Where can i get more information?
Does anyone have any ideas for Lunch and sleep/rest time?
Thanking all who help in advance
Rebecca
